4 Basic Ways to Incorporate Color Into Your Fall Looks
As you know colors make me happy and when it comes to the Fall season, I’m looking forward to incorporating purple (lilac and deep purple), mustard yellow, neon inspired colors, emerald green, hot pink, and bold red into my Fall looks. Have you thought about which color(s) you plan on incorporating into your Fall looks? In this blog post, I’m outlining four basic ways to do just that without having to think twice!
Here are the 4 Basic Ways:
1. Lipstick Shades: By adding a layer of color to your lips, you’re easily adding a layer of color to your overall look. If you’re not much of a lipstick person, no worries! There are plenty of lip glosses and balms that come in a variety of shades and tints. Some of my favorite shades to wear during the Fall season include a bold red, deep violent, and light pink lipstick lipstick colors. I choose to go bold when it comes to my lip shades, because I want them to compliment the characteristics my outfits.
2. Colorful Statement Accessories: Whether big and bold or small and detailed, colored earrings and accessories are another way to easily add color into your Fall looks. In recommending colored earrings, I challenge you to think about how you can expand your current earring collection with new colors and/or various earring types. Even if you don’t typically wear earrings or enjoy wearing neutral colored earrings, consider adding more color through other accessories such as necklaces, bracelets, or rings. In addition to earring selections, consider adding a pop of color through necklaces, rings, and bracelets.
3. Colorful Handbags: Whether you enjoy carrying large or smaller handbags, this is another way to effortlessly add more color into your look. While it’s important to have a balance of neutral handbags (black, brown, white), metallic inspired handbags (gold or silver) to compliment your wardrobe, also think about adding an array of colored handbags. Some of my favorite Fall inspired colored handbags include hot pink, emerald green, baby blue, and mustard yellow.
4. Colorful Statement Belts: When it comes to the “layering effect” of the Fall season, belting your outfits is an easy way to add an extra layer of detail to your overall look. Statement belts can be paired over a simple blouse, blouse plus blazer, or a cardigan. Belts give you options when pairing and also come in various colors, lengths, and thicknesses. Recommended colored belts include red, emerald green, deep purple, and a shade of orange.
While these are just a few of my tips for inserting more color into your Fall looks, I hope my recommendations inspire you to think about how you can make a colorful statement when it comes to the Fall season!
